How to Register to Vote in Newburgh
If you want to vote in the June 23 primary, you must be registered by May 29, 2026. Here's how.
Register Online
The fastest way to register is through the NY DMV Voter Registration Portal. You'll need your NY driver's license or ID number.
Register by Mail
Download a voter registration form from the Orange County Board of Elections, fill it out, and mail it. It must be postmarked by May 29.
Register in Person
You can register in person at the Orange County Board of Elections in Goshen. Bring proof of residence (utility bill, bank statement, or government mail).

Important: If you want to change your party enrollment, the deadline has already passed for the 2026 primary. Party changes take effect after the next general election.
Who Can Register?
To register to vote in New York, you must be:
- A United States citizen
- 18 years old by June 23, 2026
- A resident of Orange County for at least 30 days before the election
- Not currently serving a sentence for a felony conviction
